We were fortunate to have visitors from Birds of Prey Northwest. 4th and 5th grade students had the opportunity to meet and learn about five different raptor birds.
We owe a great deal of thanks to Birds of Prey. 🦅

Reminder that K-2nd grade Christmas concert is this Thursday @ 6:00 P.M. Students must be in classrooms by 5:45.
See you there!

Our awesome 1st graders worked hard to send "Christmas" to their troop buddies. The soldiers will get homemade cards, hot cocoa, pine scented wooden trees and beautiful ornaments!
'Tis the season for fun and cheer! 🎄 Let's keep our school year strong by maintaining good routines and consistent attendance. A little extra effort now means more holiday fun later! 🎅 #ksdstudentsfirst

Awards assembly for the month of November. Keep up the great work guys!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Christmas Concert #2

When children and teens regularly attend school in person, they’re more likely to develop their whole selves—personally, socially, academically, and emotionally. They’re routinely able to connect with friends and adults, collaborate and problem-solve, make decisions, think critically, be creative, and engage in hands-on learning. In other words, showing up matters! #ksdstudentsfirst

Christmas Concert

Thank you Silver Mountain for making this opportunity possible for our staff and students!
Offer ends December 20th.
PES & KMS LUNCH MENU CHANGE
Thursday 11/21 - Cheese Rippers
Monday 11/25 - Chicken Sandwiches w/ Chips
Education Support Professionals Day is a day to recognize the contributions of school support staff who are essential to the smooth running of our schools and the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment for our students. Thank you KSD ESP's!

There is a mistake in our handbook calendar. We DO have school on November 20th, 25th, and 26th. No School November 27th & 28th. There will also be NO Friday Program or PASS November 29th.

Attendance matters! As we head into the cold and flu season, staying healthy is key for consistent school participation. Keep an eye out for important health guidance being emailed home to your family next week. Let's work together to ensure a healthy school year! #ksdstudentsfirst

Food Drive!!

Family Game Night

Did you know that many of our youngest students miss 10% of the school year, or about 18 days? Kindergarten classes often have absenteeism rates as high as those in high school. While some of these absences are excused, they still add up to lost time in the classroom.
If children don’t show up for school regularly, they miss out on fundamental reading and math skills and the chance to feel a sense of belonging with their teachers and classmates.

Another round of holiday cards made by our fabulous 1st graders are on their way overseas to our troops. This Thanksgiving we are so thankful for their service to our country 🧡
