At a special meeting held on March 2, 2026, the Board of Trustees of Joint School District #391 unanimously approved the appointment of Adrianne Vest-Willard to fill the Zone 1 trustee vacancy.

The vacancy was declared on January 13, 2026, in accordance with Idaho statute. Following a public interview and board discussion, Trustee Bonnie Farmin moved to appoint Ms. Vest-Willard, with Trustee Sam Gibbons seconding the motion. The appointment was approved by unanimous roll call vote of Chair Alexa Griffin, Vice Chair Sam Gibbons, Trustee Bonnie Farmin, and Trustee John Schroeder.

Ms. Vest-Willard has been a member of the Kellogg community for 11 years and has two children enrolled in the district. During her interview, she emphasized her commitment to putting students and staff first, listening to diverse perspectives, and using data to guide thoughtful, practical decision-making. She identified school funding as one of the district’s most pressing challenges and expressed the importance of transparency, collaboration, and community engagement in addressing it.

Ms. Vest-Willard will be sworn in at the next regular board meeting on March 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
