🌞

On May 19, 2025, Pinehurst Elementary students participated in the 2025 Science Expo.
The theme for this year's expo was "Natural Disaster".
Students researched various natural disasters and created visual displays and verbal presentations based on their research.
We are so proud of their work and wanted to share these great projects!
See more of the students and their projects on the PES website: https://pes.kelloggschools.org/o/pes/page/pes-science-expo

PES Staff Spotlight:
Paraprofessionals Vanessa Avery & Shyla Ohman (pictured) have gone above and beyond for a visually impaired preschool student who will attend PES next year.
They created and used 3D printer technology to make braille crayon covers so this student will be able to recognize his colors when he comes to Kindergarten in the fall.
Thank you ladies!

The birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, and so should our attendance! 😉 Let's power through these last 19 days! And a big Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible moms in our community! 🎉#ksdstudentsfirst

Reminder for next week, grades 3rd, 4th and 5th!!!!

What goes together like peanut butter and jelly? Well, 4th grade and 1st grade reading buddies, of course! At Pinehurst Elementary, 1st grade teacher Mrs. Ward and 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Derbyshire, have teamed up and the result is reading fun for everyone! Thank you Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Derbyshire for bringing PES kiddos together and building strong bonds between your students.

Attention!! 📣

The KHS Forestry Class has worked hard to grow a great selection of plants and they would love your support!
