After reading buddies, Ms. Ward's 2nd grade class and Mrs. Derbyshire's 4th grade class did a campus clean up. They found a few treasures, LOTS of trash and even cleaned rocks off the astroturf.

The students that are in the photos were chosen to be the 5th grade Fish Friend Ambassadors.
EXCITING NEWS!! Our fish eggs arrived on Monday afternoon, January 12th. The 5th grade students have made scientific observations and started collecting data.. Our goal is to release the fish into a local body of water sometime in the spring. The fish tank is located outside of the office, if you’d like to take a peek. FYI - This unit of study was made possible by Idaho Fish & Game, the Idaho Chapter of the American Fisheries Society, and neverending hours of work by Mrs. Fitzgerald

Quarterly PAW awards assembly has been rescheduled for January 15th, at 2:00pm
UPDATED INFORMAITON regarding PES & CES:
🎶 Winter Concert Rescheduled! 🎶
The KMS & KHS Band & Choir Winter Concert that was cancelled due to the windstorm and power outages before break has been rescheduled for Monday, January 12th at 6:00 PM in the Kellogg High School gym.
Pinehurst & Canyon Elementary students will not be participating in the rescheduled program. PES will be hosting a program in February. Please watch for additional information coming soon!

Santa's Workshop at Pinehurst Elementary will be open December 22nd from 10:00-2:00 for students who were unable to shop.
There will be NO Friday program this Friday 12/19. School will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Emergency closure- All schools in the Kellogg School District will be closed on Thursday, December 18, 2025 due to continued widespread power outages and windstorm damage. All extracurricular are also canceled for Thursday. Extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday will be addressed individually as conditions are assessed. School will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026. Please continue to be safe and support our community in the aftermath of this devastating weather event.
This is an update regarding the KSD school closure on 12/17/25:
All after school activities, including the Christmas Concert, have been cancelled. A decision regarding any closures on Thursday 12/18 will be made by 5:30 AM. Please stay safe!
All schools in the Kellogg School District will be closed today, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 due to extreme weather conditions and widespread power outages.
Our 2nd graders earned a special class reward and chose the sweetest one—reading with our kindergarten friends! 📚💛 It was wonderful to see them modeling kindness, leadership, and a love of reading.
