2026-2027 School Supply List
Pinehurst Elementary Families:
The Pinehurst Elementary School office will be closed after June 25, 2026 for the summer and we will return to regular office hours on August 13, 2026.
If you have a student who is new to the district or an incoming Kindergarten student, please note our upcoming registration days:
Dates: August 17th & August 18th
Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Come in anytime during these hours; no appointment is needed)
Where: PES Office
When you come in to register your student, please be sure to bring the following documentation:
-Official Birth Certificate
-Up-to-date Immunization Records
-Legal Custody Paperwork (if applicable)
-IEP & 504 Documentation (if applicable)
Important Upcoming Dates & Information:
-First Day of School: The first day of school for the 2026-2027 school year will be September 2nd.
-Class Lists: Watch facebook to see when lists are posted in windows. Class lists will be posted on the windows by the main entrance before school begins.
-School Supplies: Our K-5 school supply lists, along with other helpful resources, are available directly on our website and facebook.

Mrs. Fitzgerald's 5th grade class put their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test during a fun STEM activity! Students worked together to design, build, and think creatively as they tackled hands-on challenges. It was exciting to see their innovation, perseverance, and collaboration in action. Great job!
Field Day was a huge success! Our students spent the day enjoying fun games, exciting activities, and plenty of friendly competition. From relay races to team challenges, there were smiles, laughter, and school spirit everywhere you looked. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and families who helped make this special day possible. We loved seeing our Panthers work together, cheer each other on, and make lasting memories!
Mrs. Fitzgerald's 5th grade students had an exciting outdoor learning experience as they visited the creek to conduct a stream survey by looking for macro invertebrates. They explored the habitat, observed aquatic life, and collected data. Hands-on activities like these help bring science to life and inspire curiosity about the natural world around us. What a great day of learning, discovery, and adventure!

Mrs. Miller's 1st graders became junior paleontologists as they explored the fascinating world of fossils!
Who says the fun is just for the students? Our teachers brought the laughs and friendly competition during an exciting inflatable race! From bouncing and laughing to racing for the finish line, they gave it their all and kept everyone cheering. Thank you to our amazing staff for being such great sports and helping create unforgettable memories for our students. What a fun-filled last day of school!

Mrs. Derbyshire's 4th grade class and Mrs. Ward's 2nd grade class wrapped up another incredibly successful year of Reading Buddies! They practiced their reading skills, and they also wrote and "published" their very own stories in a book to take home. The second graders even made special cards and yarn warm-fuzzies for their mentors to say thank you. Check out those proud faces holding their published books!
Our Summer Kick-Off Night was a huge success! It was wonderful to see so many students, families, and staff come together for an evening full of fun, smiles, and summer excitement. Our 4th graders reeled in a day full of fun on their fishing field trip! Students enjoyed casting their lines, learning about local fish and wildlife, and spending time outdoors with friends. From first catches to big smiles, the trip was filled with excitement, teamwork, and hands-on learning. It was a fin-tastic day making memories that will last a lifetime!

Our first graders had a wonderful time attending the live play Anastasia. The students loved watching the story come to life on stage and enjoyed every moment of the fun, laughter, and excitement. Experiences like these help spark imagination and create lasting memories.
Nothing sweeter than watching Mrs. Miller's kiddos hold baby chicks they helped hatch! From incubating the eggs to seeing the chicks arrive, this hands-on experience brought so much excitement, learning, and joy to our classroom. The smiles say it all.
Enjoy the extra long weekend, stay safe, and make some great memories. We will see everyone back in the classroom ready to finish the year strong on Tuesday, May 26!
